Day 3 Prayer Requests

Hola de Brad

Last night Christian and I had to play a game of Madden '06 on PS2. I won 27-21! It was a great game that came down to the final seconds.

On a series note, please be praying for us as we will be taking a long bus ride tonight from Maraciabo to Merida. This will be an eight hour adventure that will take us through the night. Pray for safety, sleep, and smooth transitions through the guard stations.

Praise God for the relationships we have already developed and look forward to the new ones He will bring our way today.

I enjoyed getting to talk with Brad this afternoon. Praise God that they arrived in Merida safely. They are looking forward to attending a fiesta with friends from last year's trip to Venezuela. Brad had a few praises and a few prayer requests as well. Before their bus ride to Merida, Brad fell and broke his left wrist in two places. He also sprained his right wrist and fell on his knees. Praise God that he was well cared for in the emergency room and that he did not have to have surgery. He does have a cast that covers his wrist and arm past his elbow. He kept stressing that he is OK. He's in a little pain, but he's OK. Thankfully they were still able to make their bus. He did share with me that he's a little uncomfortable and he could use prayer for his "attitude." (His words.) Now, those of you who know Brad know that he is usually very optimistic and upbeat, but this is a pretty big disappointment. Please pray that God would help take away the pain, that he would feel encouraged, strengthened, etc. I know that God has a plan to use this for His glory, and Brad knows that too, but in his words, he is struggling a little right now. Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers for my Dad, my brother, and my husband. Please pray for our family too -- for peace and trust.

Great Pictures! Thanks so much for taking time to keep us updated. It was good to see Christian and Julietta and Yadira and Yulissa, too. Thanks for sharing with us! I can tell you guys are having an awesome experience already, and it's just like God to have you sharing your faith on the first day, and bringing you to the right people who are ready to respond! God is great and sovereign and mightier that we can ever imagine! I'm looking forward to more stories and more pictures!
Thanks! tomas
