It is offensive. Not all attempts toward humor are admirable. The question is whether we should overlook it as merely a distraction. Are we as Christians suppose to respect man or God? How many thousands of young people have seen this? Is this just another brick in the wall? Is trivializing the message of salvation funny? The world does not care how we feel about it and we don't have to whine about it but we as Christians should see this as evidence of a cultural and generational gap.

I say, when in doubt choose not to be offended. Usually the intent is humor not offense. Besides, love is patient and keeps no record of wrong.

Interesting remark. Does it honor God? Does it build up believers? Does it share Christ with unbelievers? Or is it a "crest vs. colgate" issue? My guess is that it is a distraction, that's all.
