Why is communion meaningful to you? Also, Is it important to take communion every week? If so why? If not why?

I just found your post after 14 months. Really on the ball, I am.

I'm surprised at the lack of comments here, I wonder why that is. I suspect that it's not that most of the people reading this don't find communion meaningful, but rather that it's so meaningful that the task of putting it into words (especially in a blog comment) is daunting. At least I hope that's the case.

I'll give it a try, answering the second part of your question first. It is important for me to take communion every week whenever that is possible. In fact, for the last several years I have been doing just that. Even twice a week fairly often.

Why? Firstly, because our Lord commanded it. But also because this command, as with all of His commands, is for our benefit. This is a topic which really deserves to be developed more fully, but that will have to wait for another time.
