Leadership Development Program
Dear Men of Grace,
For many months I have been working on a leadership development strategy for the men of our church. The purpose of our leadership training program is to bring men together
to experience authentic community, capture a life-changing vision for the church, and develop their leadership skills to effectively lead their families, the church, and their personal lives.
In The Leadership Development Program we will:
- Meet every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30. See the attached schedule for more information.
- Read selected books pertaining to theology, doctrine, and leadership.
- Meet with a Grace elder during the summer months for discussion and prayer.
- Every participant will start a new ministry that matches their interests and unique giftedness. Starting a new ministry may seem like a daunting challenge so this feature
of the program will become clear once the program is started. If you are already involved in a ministry, your task will be to propose improvements and then implement.
- Attend a scheduled retreat
Participants must fill out and sign a commitment form. All participants must be members of Grace Community Fellowship or moving in that direction. The cost of this training
will be $30 a month which will be used to purchase all necessary books and materials. The training program is limited to 20 people and will last 2 years. There will be intermittent
breaks throughout the program.
This may sound like a significant commitment and it is. To complete the leadership program will require commitment and the sacrifice will be invaluable to you. The leadership
program will begin every other January.
Each month we will be focus on a specific topic. I have three specific goals in mind with the training the program. The first goal is to deepen your grasp of theology. The
second goal is to equip your basic skills in areas such as teaching, crises counseling, how to disciple another person, and how to share your faith. The third goal is for you to
have the opportunity to put your skills to use by creating a new ministry.
