Course Description

This course is designed as a basic study of the background and message of each of the books of the General Epistles and the book of Revelation from the New Testament. Particular attention will be paid to the application of specific truths within each book. Lecture, discussion, and questioning will be included in the class sessions. Homework will include the reading, analyzing, and synthesizing of each book.

Course Objectives

• Students will gain an appreciation for the General Epistles and Revelation.
• Students will become aquatned with the history of the church during the latter half of the first century.
• Students will understand the concerns of the first century church.
• Sudents will feel more confident in their understanding and use of the the General Episteles and Revelation in their own personal lives and in future ministries.
• Students will grow in their knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and grow spiritually as a result of their study.

Course Requirements

• Student should complete the assigned scripture reading each week.
• Student should read the additional readings by the assigned class time.
• Student should complete a simple chart for each of the New Testament books assigned, ready to be turned in at class time.
• Student will turn in an “implication for their lives” at the end of the term.

• Course Cost: $35.00 recommended donation with the book. $10.00 without the book.
