Syllabus
Winter 2008

Course Description
This course is designed as a basic study of the background
and message of the books of Genesis. Particular attention will be paid to the
application of specific truths within each book. Lecture, discussion, and
questioning will be included in the class sessions. Homework will include the
reading, analyzing, and synthesizing of each book.
Course Objectives

Each student will read the book of Genesis.
q
Each student will complete a simple chart of each book for future
study, teaching, etc.
q
Each student will feel more confident in their understanding and
use of the Genesis in their own personal lives and in future ministries.
Course Requirements
q
Each student should read each chatper(s) of Genesis by the
assigned class time.
q
Each student should read the additional readings by the assigned
class time.
q
Each student should complete a simple chart for the book of
Genesis, ready to be turned by the last class.
q
Each student will turn in an “implication for their lives” for
the book of Genesis.
