Thought for the Season...

Sunday morning I sat with my 4 year old granddaughter in the hospital. She was so sick and had been for days. As I sat there and she finally was able to fall asleep I looked at her precious face very flushed and troubled. And as I looked at the bed she had her tiny hand wrapped around my finger very tightly. Tears poured out of my eyes as I silently watcher her troubled breathing. It is overwhelming to me how much love is in my heart for this very precious girl. And it hit me right then how much more than that the Father loves me. I mean He REALLY does love us that much more.

How much He must hurt when He sees us in pain and frustration that we have in our lives. How He must ache as He looks down and sees us holding on for dear life so that we can have some peace. How He must want to pour out tears when He sees us suffer and hurt. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring I felt at that moment knowing that I was not sitting alone with my precious girl but that He was holding both of us.

It is an easy thing to simply say that God loves us. But when we can get a picture of His amazing love for us, it is beyond overwhelming. And I am so full of thankfulness to know this and to know that there are moments that I can hang on to His finger (so-to-speak) for dear life so that I can rest peacefully and He is looking down at me and calling me His precious girl!

Step by Step Mentoring Program

Our mentoring ministry at Grace for women is a wonderful opportunity to see women pairing together to walk in Christ. Our Step by Step Mentoring program is taking a short break to re-tool and prepare for the best season ever. We will have an update for you soon and encourage you to continue to watch here for more information as to when we will be having our next paring of women.

Helping Others

We have a few areas that we offer to help those in need. We have a Prayer Chain that calls through and prays for needs as they come up. We have a Visitation Team that calls on women who are in the hospital or at home and would like to have someone come by and spend some time with them. We also have a Meals person that has a group of women that prepares meals for those who are ill, have just had a baby born into their family, or another need where this would be an important blessing.
