Thought for the Season...

As we come into a New Year once again, I feel an anticipation as to what will be coming into my life that will be vibrant and new. I have much to look forward to! I have decided to not do resolutions anymore. That is a gift I have given myself. Instead I have some goals, but not too many. I look forward to getting into the Word in a new way and with a fresh hunger. I look forward to doing some scripture memorization that I can grasp in my times of need. I look forward to meeting new women through my Bible study as well as the retreat and other events. These goals can all be met by my participation in what is offered here at Grace for women. Join me as we delve into 2012 and make the most of it!

Bible Studies

This is the most vital area that we offer women at Grace. We hope that you will join us to grow in your walk with Christ and connect with other women in our church family.

Our winter bible study is coming soon!

What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer is a 7-session Bible study that redefines interruption and shows how it can be God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.

The study begins on:

  • Monday Night: January 9th at 7 pm
  • Thursday Morning: January 12th at 9 am

We regret that we are unable to sign you up or collect book fees in the church office. You can pay online – just note JONAH in the right hand column on the Women’s Ministries tab – or see us at the information booth before and after first service starting November 20th thru December 11th. The cost of the study book is $15 if you register and pay by December 4th. After that date, the cost will go up to $18.

Child care is available on Monday nights by reservation only through age 6.

Moms of Grace

Moms of Grace is a group of moms that meet every Tuesday morning, starting January 10, 2012, from 9:30 – 11:00 in room 104. Our moms have a Bible teaching time and a discussion time. This year we will be looking at the study by Priscilla Shirer, One in a Million. Come and join us. There is childcare available for children birth to 5 years old.

Step by Step Mentoring Program

Our mentoring ministry at Grace for women is a wonderful opportunity to see women pairing together to walk in Christ. Our Step by Step Mentoring program is taking a short break to re-tool and prepare for the best season ever. We will have an update for you soon and encourage you to continue to watch here for more information as to when we will be having our next paring of women.

Helping Others

We have a few areas that we offer to help those in need. We have a Prayer Chain that calls through and prays for needs as they come up. We have a Visitation Team that calls on women who are in the hospital or at home and would like to have someone come by and spend some time with them. We also have a Meals person that has a group of women that prepares meals for those who are ill, have just had a baby born into their family, or another need where this would be an important blessing.
